[Safety Statement] Regarding Battery Compatibility

Makita Power Tools (HK) Limited (hereinafter referred to as Makita) hereby issues the following important notice:

Makita genuine lithium-ion battery products are designed exclusively for use with Makita cordless power tools and their corresponding chargers. They are not intended for, nor authorized to be used with, any other brand of power tools or electronic devices.

Recently, certain brands or sellers have claimed that “Makita genuine lithium-ion batteries can be used with other brands of products.” Makita strongly clarifies and states:

1. Makita lithium-ion batteries are engineered with specific design, structure, and built-in electronic protection systems to work only with Makita cordless tools and original chargers. They must not be used with any non-approved tools or accessories.

2. Makita has never guaranteed compatibility with other brands’ tools or devices, nor has it authorized any third party to make such claims or promote cross-brand usage.

3. Using Makita batteries with other brands’ tools, adapters, modified devices, or any non-approved equipment may result in:

   • Reduced battery lifespan
   • Battery malfunction or other safety hazards

4. Makita assumes no responsibility for any accidents, damages, injuries, or consequences (including but not limited to harm to persons, property, tools, chargers, or the battery itself) arising from improper or unauthorized use. Such cases are not covered under warranty or repair services.

To ensure user safety and maintain optimal tool performance, always use Makita genuine batteries with Makita tools and chargers only. Do not trust any unverified claims of cross-brand compatibility or modification advice.
